About me
Nia Harvey is a NYC-based actress, lyricist, and librettist. She has performed in venues ranging from black box theaters to large stages in the British Virgin Islands. She began her musical theatre writing journey as part of the inaugural Musical Creators’ Institute cohort in 2020. She has written for the A BroaderWay Foundation and CPA Theatricals, Inc. She frequently finds herself going down documentary rabbit holes. She has a personal passion for telling untold stories, bringing background characters into the spotlight, and uncovering their secrets. She has written a play, “Gabrielle’s Book”; one-act musicals, “The Papillon Waltz”, “The Magical Macaroons”, and “Meta: More For Sis”; and various cabaret songs (including a few she composed). She is a proud member of the Dramatist Guild of America and Maestra.
