About me
Mark-Eugene Garcia, a Chicano playwright, is a graduate of the City College of New York and a member of the BMI Lehman Engel Workshop as a lyricist and librettist. A fun fact: he was part of the original cast of ABC’s Encore with Kristen Bell.
His works include Eight Tales of Pedro, Goat Blood, Standby, Shining in Misery: A King-Size Parody, With Bated Breath, (Un)Missed Connections, and The Holy Cows of Credence, South Dakota.
Mark-Eugene has served as a dramaturg for Temple of the Souls and Emojiland at the former New York Musical Festival. He currently co-hosts The Drama Book Show! on the Broadway Podcast Network and is part of the management team at The Drama Bookshop.
