Krysta Rodriguez has proven herself to be a versatile actress on both stage and screen. She will co-star in the new 2025 Broadway production of “Smash” based on the series. She co-starred in the Netflix/Ryan Murphy award-winning limited series “Halston” as the iconic entertainer Liza Minnelli.
Additional series regular television credits include co-starring in NBC’s cult hit “Smash”, Netflix’s “Daybreak”, “Trial and Error” plus a multitude of recurring roles.
For the Kennedy Center Krysta had memorable turns starring in “Bye Bye Birdie” and “West Side Story”. A veteran of eight Broadway shows including the critically acclaimed revivals of “Into the Woods” as Cinderella and “Spring Awakening” (as well as being in the original cast). Also on Broadway, she starred in “First Date”, “The Addams Family, “The Collaboration”, the revival of “A Chorus Line” and “In the Heights”.
Off Broadway Krysta starred in “Seared” at MCC for which she was awarded the Outer Critics Circle Award and also “What We’re Up Against”.
Krysta was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 30. Shortly after her diagnosis, she began Chemo Couture, a blog documenting her journey, and has penned numerous articles with the hope of inspiring other women going through similar experiences.
