About me
Julie Debra Saltman AKA (Salty) is a Broadway Lead Producer and Costume Designer. She is originally from Boston, but now a die-hard New Yorker now! (She has the shoes to prove it.)
Julie holds a degree from Carnegie Mellon. While in the Pittsburgh “Neighborhood” she joined “Mr Rogers Neighborhood” from 1995-1998.
Later her MFA was earned in costume design from Brandeis University. Julie worked on several Broadway Shows in multiple capacities. Her Broadway credits include Lestat, High Fidelity, Spring Awakening, etc. Lots of her time was spent working for the producers of Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark. This led to her being honored by her Union 829 Iatse as a “Strong female Role Model and Hero”.
Julie has been creating “Taking Wing: Legends of Emimencia” for 10 years. She is flying over the moon! Taking Wing will have it’s Out of Town Try out at “The Pantages Theatre” in Minneapolis Spring 2026. It has taken the flight path to become a Broadway immersive techno-enhanced production.
