Jaime Lozano, hailed by Lin-Manuel Miranda as the “next big thing on Broadway,” is a celebrated Mexican composer, arranger, and musical director. Jaime blends traditional Latin American sounds with contemporary musical theater, spotlighting Latinx narratives. His acclaimed works include: Jime Lozano & la familia: Songs by an Immigrant, a song cycle on the immigrant experience; Children of Salt, a New York Musical Festival nominee; Desaparecidas,highlights the voices of missing women ,El otro Oz, a bilingual retelling of The Wizard of Oz , Roja,inspired by Red Riding Hood enriched with the sounds and spirit of Mexican folk music.
Jaime has contributed musical arrangements for films and released the Broadway in Spanglish album, showcasing his ability to merge cultural authenticity with modern storytelling. A recipient of the Jonathan Larson Grant, Jaime continues to redefine musical theater through his groundbreaking compositions and cultural representation.
