About me
Andrés Chávez is author of the book El musical en Latinoamérica, an one of a kind study of musical theater abroad in latino countries. He is colombian and has created a publishing house and bookstore specialized on performing arts (@tiendateatral) with current presence on México, Colombia, Perú and Ecuador. He founded Mulato Foundation (as Latino musicals), a non-profit organization to encourage the research and publishing of latino musicals. He has published musicals books of such companies like Misi in Colombia and Preludio in Perú, as well as some children music books, as Todos podemos cantar, currenly nominee for Latin Grammy 2024. He is passionate about musicals and teaches a course about Musicals history on Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá.
