About me
Abigail Bender recently obtained her Master’s in Science Communication from Stony Brook University where she pushed for work and conversations to include topics of performance and theatre. While in school, she assisted projects such as Science on Stage, which partnered scientists and playwrights to create plays, and the Science playwriting competition staged reading, which highlighted new science-themed works. She had the opportunity to speak about these experiences at the International Theatre about Science conference in Portugal. She has been working to incorporate science into her theatre work and theatre into her science communication work since 2019 when she directed her first show, The How and the Why by Sarah Treem. Now in Seattle, she hopes to build a community of curious individuals who want to see this type of unique work put on stage. Connect more on abigailbender.com or @Abbybender_sci.
