When Seussical opened on Broadway one year,
The critics confirmed every out-of-town fear.
The show was in trouble! It closed (as shows do.)
But then, oh dear friends, it became something new!
It became a big hit! Everybody soon knew it!
Every school, everywhere--they all started to do it!
Now it's twenty-five years and it's still on the loose,
So we're gettin' together to talk about Seuss!
